The Iron Miners are a group of miners and historians dedicated to capturing
and preserving historic abandoned mines in the United
States. In particular, our work covers the iron mines of NY
and NJ, the anthracite region of PA, the silver and copper regions of AZ and the participation of active gold mining in CA. The legacy of historic mining is preserved by photographing and documenting mines and presenting this research to the public.
