The magnetic concentrating mill is seen here in 2004.
Some of these drifts were excavated for a length of 1,000 feet across. The bottom of the inclined shaft is between 1,000 and 1,100 vertical feet beneath the lake.

The total production of the Lake Mine was over 1.2 million tons. The workings are mostly now water-filled. Rails can still be seen descending down the inclined shaft to the water level. External features of the mine complex can still be seen today including an electrically powered hoist house, magnetic concentrating mill and dryers.
