Sunnyside ClaimThe Sunnyside Claim is one amongst several claims worked by the Sunflower Mining Company. This claim consists of underground workings accessed by two adits and a shaft. The cinnabar ore was found in a veinlet measuring 3 inches at its widest and contained limonite. Other notable minerals include malachite and chrysocolla, however these were not known to be exploited here. The cinnabar was likely sent by wagon and later truck to the main processing facility of the Sunflower Mine. |
