Tip Top Mine

It is unknown when the Tip Top Mine was opened. The orebody is actually a continuation of that of the Lake Mine but displaced by a fault which runs on the northern end of the Tip Top deposit. Thus, the ore is of the same composition as that at the Lake Mine. The ore was mined from the surface at the southwest end from an outcrop. Toward the northeast end, the mine dipped underground where stoping took place.

A short inclined haulage tunnel was driven through the hanging wall of the underground workings to transport the ore down the hill. The mine was abandoned sometime between 1880 and 1889.
