(...continued) The celebrated prospector Ron Berdahl rediscovered the mine in March of 2004 transferring it to the Bald Mountain Mining Company in May of 2008. However, by September of 2010, the mine was abandoned for reasons unknown.

Finally, in November of 2011, IronMiners relocated Pipes Mine along with the adjoining Siskiyou Mine to the north. IronMiners rehabilitated the main adit and in 2012 will begin operations.

The mine was worked through the main adit which penetrated through multiple quartz veins.
