 Post subject: Ohio Vintage Coal saves 3-ton Brookville from a lime mine

I thought we posted the first move but looking back we did not.

Our group saved (the 2nd) 3-ton Brookville diesel locomotive this past Friday April 24, 2008 that used to operate on the HIGH-LINE at Mississippi Lime Co. located on the Mississippi River. The kilns were replaced by modern kilns thus not requiring the daily service by these units. The cabs were special built to shield the heat from the kiln and the operator would sit side saddle (rare).
