 Post subject: Ohio Vintage Coal Eimco Model 21 Rocker Shovel Anthracite

Well we are backed up posting a few of our current projects.

The last remaining Eimco Model 21 rocker shovel that was operated at the Mercury Slope Coal Co. an Anthracite Mine was purchasd by the members of the Ohio Vintage Coal Co. January 2008.

Our goal was to have it operational by August of this year but we are lacking (1) control valve.

We hope we can locate a surplus valve to complete this project.

Our plans were to have it operating at the 28th Annual National Pike Steam, Gas, Horse, Construction/Surface Mining Equipment Show.

Any help to locate a valve would be greatlty appreciated.

One of our neighbors at our shop had parked their car behind it when we took that shot so we blurred the image to get rid of it.

Nice job. How is the shovel on that one? Looks like it might have been better shape than Chris's. Did you guys find a set of air valves and controls for it?

STILL LOOKING FOR THE VALVES.

This unit will be in great shape.

:arrow: Wheels GREAT.

:arrow: Will have new sets of cables fabricated for the dump mechanism. Chris your set will be made at the same time.

:arrow: Dump in good shape

:arrow: Air motors sealed & tested GREAT.

Future final pieces that have to be added still
--operator step
--operator hand rail
--dump chain & cables
--air valve assembly
