As you may know from my previous posts, I am very much interested in local mineralogy. I've noticed that many of the sites that you visit aren't well documented on the site I work with (www.mindat.org) and I would be interested in coming on trips to do more mineralogy-related documentation on the mines. Mines such as the Phillips Mine in NY have barely been touched upon by mineralogy buffs in recent years and many of the publications on the mines in the NY/NJ/CT area are very much outdated. In terms of resources, I have access to analytical instrumentation when I am not working on my normal projects in the lab at my school. I also have some chemicals at home which allow me to qualitatively identify minerals. You can e-mail me, my adress is jeremy@therockgeek.com.
