I have never ment him. From listening to what other people say, You would need to be very cautious about it. If you ment the guy AND he liked you, you might get a better price. Many of the older guys that have collected stuff like that are the same way. But once you got an "in" with them you could do alright.

Sounds like the local hobby shop! The owner knows my dad and I on a first name basis. The last time I was there, I got a bottle of glue for free, because it was after Christmas. He also gave me a $5 discount on a kit that had been there for awhile.

yep 20 big ones. he's nuts. and its not a mile of track as listed in the article, its more like 1/2 - 3/4. 40 lb rail though. i think he has it listed as a coal mine train. none of it was ever used at a coal mine. he has one ore car from the sterling hill mine in nj. he did sell that european steam engine he had up there though...... ill post up some pics later tonight.

heres some photos from andy's collection at big bear farm........

this is whats for sale in the papershop for 20 grand. minus the steam engine, thats out at st marys now and on its way back to europe. all 2 foot gauge. now looking at the rail it doesnt look like 40 lb. thats what he said it is but he also said our GE motor was 10 ton when its really 6. so go figure.......
