yes that plan is of a hudson car. its from the olyphant colliery in 1927. also have hudson mine car drawing from 1912 on an end dump plank mine car used at the eddy creek, grassy island, olyphant, coal brook, powderly, clinton and jermyn collieries. we took several design functions from this car and it will closely resemble it thats why we put up the plan of it. we are using hudson wheels, roller bearing and attach brackets and bumpers. the draw bar, im not sure what company used it, and the dump door mechanism is glen alden. everything else is "home grown"

UGM Adam has been self-assigned the semi anthracite field. 8) He's the knowledge of that field.

Anyway.. getting this back on topic, Chris and I took the steel car bottem to the shop tonight and placed it on the car. Although it's not bolted down yet, i think we can officially say we have another flat car now! All thats left is some drilling, bolting, mounting the sides and the dump door, and painting the steel. Almost there!

like banks said, got the steel ready for work on monday. gotta burn some holes and bolt it to the car then we can start assembling the sides and dump door. started a post on coal mining so we can keep this on the mine car.
