Here is the photos to go along with the trip on day 2. Most of these pictures were taken at the Connecticut Antique Machinery Museum in Kent Connecticut.

Before proceeding to the trip, we stopped at Miner Dave's house and got to visit Miner Henry the Donkey.

Image
Miner Henry is a good boy, we are planning on setting up a nice ore car track to put Miner Henry to some good use.

Image
At the Connecticut Antique Machinery Museum, one of the displays was an old Mine Signal sign. Wait a minute, these levels look very familiar ... Sterling Hill Mine in NJ!

Image
Another display was setup with a miner using a rock drill.

Image
Outside the museum, a nice side dump Ore Car sitting on 24 inch narrow gauge.

Image
Near the ore car, we found a Rock Mucking Machine.

Another view of the mucker

Image
Miner CTMike at the switch controls while Miner Mike pushes the car.

Image
A cute little storage battery mine locomotive or mine motor. No batteries inside though. It looked complete otherwise.

Looking back at the switch and rail

Old hand cranked air compressor

Inside the museum, a look at one of the many massive steam engines - ALL OPERATIONAL

The massive Steam Boiler used to power all of this equiptment

Some small random generators

A pretty neat Cooper Bessemer hit and miss engine.

Here is one of the prizes, a Vulcan Ironworks 36" Gauge Saddle Tank Locomotive! This one is 0-4-0T. Written on the side of this steam engine is "American Steel and Wire Company Northworks" No. 18.

The crew with the lokie

Image
A view from behind. A few parts and components are missing, some rust through, but overall pretty nice.

Image
The Kent Blast Furnace. In pretty good shape overall.

Image
Another view from the side.

Image
Inside the front. Apparently some of the brick had just starting falling this year.

Image
This is a look in the side of the furnace.

Image
Right near the furnace, a shot along the river. Figured I'd take a shot.

Image
You can't have mine pictures without a flower shot..
