Organized some of my pictures to go with the old cinnabar posts from Nevada:

The open pit is Morenci looking south from Sun Ridge, now gone along with the many very old workings beneath it.
URL insertion never seems to work for me, if you have to copy and paste, sorry.
I'll be roaming the West later this year on days off, I'll round up some more pics then. Good luck, stay safe, Mike.

Thanks for sharing Chango. Any picture no matter what the quality is better than none. Sometime in the early 2000's I realized if I don't always carry a camera with me during my expeditions, I will simply miss snapping something and regret it. The camera I was using at the time was total crap but I did capture things that are now lost and gone.

Btw, I liked your quote on your page, "I'm fascinated by the brute labor of the mostly anonymous men and women who provided the raw materials and built the industrial might of this nation." When I observe around me whether it be a cityscape or the intricacies of an underground mine complex, I am always amazed at the anonymity and the many forgotten personalities that created it.

No matter how the quality is, nothing lasts forever. Almost any photo can be considered a piece of history. The rate things are destroyed today, any attempt of capturing it needs to be commended. But in any event, I think you have some great shots. Thanks for sharing and allowing others to see!
