Buggy

Small mine car, large mine car, mine motor, mantrip, gunboat, flat car, explosives car.

...pretty much anything that rides on mine rail...or greased wood. or chucker style wood (not been greased)

Rules and Regulations: those are the things that put anthracite miners out of business when improparly applied, especially when they are used to nit-pick.

A fragment:

"over in (town)"

Lets use Hegins for example.

One in the anthracite region would never say "Over in Hegins," refering to something in the town of Hegins, but rather,

"Over Hegins way"

or possibly

"Over Hegins there"

or, if you happen upon a deep miner, you may hear:

"Over Hegins way there" -- utilizing both extentions of the fragment.

Example in context:

Speaker 1: Yano David A. Lucas?

Speaker 2: Yeaa, 'e lives 'or Hegins way there...
