welcome back dalado. went back there a few years ago, after the buildings were removed. dont remember the fan house.

dave, i dont see were i was talking about coal dropping at midnight, but that was 4 years ago we were discussing this. it was probably nonsense. most of the stuff i say is nonsense. 8) coal in the mine cars? dont know never made it to them. i was going from info a buddy shared with me, he had pics of them but they were taken from down low and they were high cars so you couldnt tell. another side note, the larger mine motor used at the no.9 mine tour came from here. after the colliery closed an independent operator went in and did a bit of work in there. they built about a dozen new steel cars and had this motor. when it shut down, the no.9 was starting up. good timing. as for coal in the cars, this isnt glenburn, but a mine near hazleton........

I was talking about the skip. and the coal drop at midnight is form the first post.

It is kind of haunting, seeing the cars sitting there, full of coal. It's like they are waiting for the next shift to come and get to work.
