ASHLAND — With the price of crude oil remaining high on the world market, coal has become an attractive fossil fuel again, with production increasing around the world.
Of course, with an increase in demand, there are certain factors that must be dealt with:
• To get the coal, you need to mine and transport it.
• To mine the coal and move it to where it is used, you need heavy equipment with very large engines.
• To get a very large engine for your specific needs, you come to Ashland Diesel Engines Inc.
Located at the east end of the borough, Ashland Diesel is barely noticeable from Centre Street. However, what it has been doing in the field of diesel engine customizing is definitely getting noticed in different parts of the world.
