I was looking through some of my puctures today abd i came across on that has stumped me for a bit. When i went to the big lick tunnel we hiked up the mountain above it to find a geocache. The trail up is just east of the tunnel its self and is very wide, like a road for a bit. The it becomes very steep and follows what looks to be a large culm pile up the hill. You then reach a level area where there are some concrete ruins with the date 1915 on them, but no foundations or mine opoenings. Does anyone know what the concrete with 1915 on it is from? I have a picture of it but i dont know how to post it.

back in colliery days these guys took great pride in some of their concrete work. this is evident at the tower city colliery no.1 tunnel. they dated almost everything, including building foundations. so it is probably something from the colliery but without a surface map and layout one will probably never know what its for.
