how about a coal region bar tour, we should get together for a tour of local coal region bars, there should be some criteria as far as the bars go....they must be throwbacks to when coal was king, in close proximity to a former mining operation and in business during that time (existing ownership doesnt have to be the same). Interestingly i dont drink but this could be a good time.

 this should be interesting

another criteria... you must wear something coal related. a tee shirt..whatever... you must show your support for anthracite, old times or new.

What a great idea. Might have to come down from Bingo here on one of your outings, finally meet some of you. The food thing actually sounds great, too. Maybe, just maybe, better than the beer. I am off every 3rd Friday and Saturday, so hopefully I can get down there.

Any place still have Gibbon's or any of the old locals my dad talks about?

A few distrubuters have Gibbons, Steg, Bartels, and Liebischtiener Cream Ale yet in returnable bottles. Daylidas bar in Warrior Run has Steg on tap, other than that I'm not sure.

If we start this friday (tomorrow) I can come down from bingo. Molly M's there sounds like a good place to start if you like it. I should be able to find it, I'm familiar with the area enough to find my way around.
