Don't complain about the commute from the North Field, the drive from the Western Field is worse.

Is there an Online Section?

 nope, sorry doug. also guys, im going to change the name of this topic to new miner training to see if it will stir up more interest. with these things, the more people attend the better. even if you dont plan on working in the mines, i know theres a lot of "explorers" that could use the training. you do learn alot!

I'm just messing with you.

There is an Indiana Class twenty miles away. They just fill up with guys begging for the jobs.

I'm interested for the fun. And it would be more interesting with folks who are in it because of heart and not dollars. Beside it's a full week of Annual Leave.

Thanks for changing the thread name, Chris... I didn't know what to name it... Lol. Yeah, sign me up. I'm unemployed right now so I have all the time in the world and my friend is also unemployed. I think even if I wouldn't get a job in a mine it would be really, really interesting. Thanks, guys.

It has something to do with no one in my back ground every spoke Polish.

Gaelic, English, and a touch of French, no Polish.

What if you just want to have the certification and aren't interested in working in a mine; Where would I get the rest of the underground training? I'm just interested in it, but I'm sure it could come in handy if I ever get a truck driving job up there, or get a chance to help out underground.

Not to worry, the family left the continent and moved to the British Isle in the 1300's. But the spelling still has a hint of the old background.

In my family I'm hard pressed to find anyone who imagrated after the Colonel Period. We've been in Indiana since the 1830's

The only dialect/accent we have is a Northern version of South Redneck.

Someone was asking recently about New Miner in Pa.

Heard through the grapevine that there will be a class in Tremont, March 8-9, 11-12, 2010.
