When io was at the brookside breaker site all that i saw was the sheridan banks and culm and some foundations and pipe. However i just stumbled upon these pictures on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/cupdegrave ... 382932776/

i didnt see any of the stuff that is labeled as brookside on this- same with the big lick air shaft and the ruins it shows at big lick.

Are these different places or mislabeled or did i not look around enough at these places?? thanks

My Great Grandfather on the A side worked at Brookside first, than the Willamstown Tunnel, than had a Bootleg during the depression. Those pictures on that link sort of hit home for me! The white Breaker is Summit Anthracite. The other Breaker looks like Titos Breaker but I can't be sure.

That might be the 6 M slope. I'm pretty sure it is anyway.

Listen to this stuff   I knew you guys would do that. . . .We are over 400 miles away. We have been on more mine trips in more states & countries than any other year this year. We missed one. You guys still cant even drive to the western part of the state. . . wait a minute let me hold me breathe again. . . maybe it just might be in 2009 this time  . (didnt happen in 2006, 2007, 2008). It is not that hard we drive out to Anty country all the time. We have been to alot of the mines out there but definatelty not all of them.

Hell you guys were not even sure what or where that was   .
