For christmas today i got the book " Illustrating an Anthracite Industry" It has some very cool and impressive photos taken by John Hogan Jr. Has anyone else seen this book- It is basically a pictures book with a short history in the front. It shows a " Boston Stripping" does this still exsist? Also shows pine ridge, Loree colliery, BAltimore Colliery, Marvine Colliery and other Hudson Coal sites. Id highly recomend taking a look at this book.

Yeah dude thats an awesome book of images! if you go on the old pictures page of the website ( http://www.undergroundminers.com/oldpics.html ) theres a lot of old Horgan pictures. the archive of originals is at the Anthracite Heritage Museum in Scranton.

I'm sure theres still strip joints in Boston man....

 actually the boston stripping is where the big development is near the arena in wilkesbarre. this book you got was put together from left over photos of horgans from when he did work on "the story of anthracite" which was put out by the hudson coal co. its an excellent book on mining in the northern field if you can pick up a copy here or there.

Interestingly there is a strip club right in that area now, They should change the name to "Boston Strippings" that would be funny.
