 Post subject: Henry Clay Colliery

Does anyone know anythign about the henry clay colliery and if there is anything left there? saw it on geocaching website and was wondering whether itd be worthwhile to check out this weekend.

yeah i ssaw the remains of it on a geocaching page- is that where theres a AMD site?

The AMD is flowing from the Big Mountain mine workings. The main flow is comming from the shaft while a much smaller flow is comming from the slope.

Theres a few company houses still up there. I have also located where another slope and airshaft were.


The only thing left at the Henry Clay is a retaining wall with '1909' written on it.
