During the summer I believe I came upon a tunnel belonging to the Gaylord colliery in plymouth It is completely buried up to the top an at first glance appears to be a concrete wall but when i looked closer noticed that i was actually standing on a pile of backfill and looking at the top af the enterance. similarly, in swoyersville there is another one like this only this has "1923" stamped in the concrete, probally part of what at one time was the maltby.
