 Post subject: Potts colliery question

Ive been looking through some of the pictures i have taken and looked at some from the potts colliery in locustdale. Now i remember seeing like some stone steps and concrete ruins close to the highwall with the mine car tracks on them. Now it looked like they would have been underground at the time of the collierys operation so does that mean they would have been underground in a mine or built later during stripping?

That was a double track slope that went underground, then exposed when it was stripped out........

im sorry i wasnt clear.... i knew that the tracks were a slop i was wondering about the concrete steps and ruins scattered around in the brush at the bottom of the highwall
