 Post subject: Subsidence near Eckley

Diddnt catch the whole story. But it was reported on channel 16 ( WNEP) that there was a subsidence in Luzerne county near Eckley miners village. It was adjacent to a state hi way, and on PENNDOT property. PENNDOT will fill the subsidence.

Description- A 7’ diameter funnel-shaped void 6’ deep with a 1’ by 1’ opening in the bottom of the void extending an additional 3-4’ deep.

Location- Complaint is in the road shoulder of Buck Mountain Road (SR 2053) located 210’northwest of the entrance to Eckley Miners Village historic site museum.
