Went up to Dunlap TN today.
1. Unidentified trolley motor.
2. Coke ovens. There is about a 1/4 mile long row with ovens on each side. Coal was poured in through the top and coke taken out through the doors on the side.
3. Joy coal cutter and carrier
4. Another view of Joy coal cutter.
5. Wear on wheels of Jeffery trolley motor
6. Jeffrey trolley motor

So this is a park? Are the rails still in place on the ovens?

It is a park but it doesn't look like they have done much upkeep the last few years. The top of the ovens are caved in and the tracks are long gone.

The picture of the first motor looks like a General Electric low-profile unit. Probably 10-tons.

There was a 7 cast on the side. I thought that might be the tonnage.

Banks, I didn't take any measurements but I'll be going back up there in the near future. I am going to talk to the powers that be at the museum about getting a few pieces back to my shop to be put into a better state of preservation. Then hopefully they could displayed under cover instead of out in the weather.
