NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Southern Railway has loaded one of the largest ships ever to call at its Lamberts Point coal dock in Norfolk in the past 20 years. The M/V Linda Dream, bound for ThyssenKrupp Steel in Flushing, Netherlands, took on 152,681 tons of coal Sept. 29.

The weight of the vessel’s payload makes it the largest load performed at Lamberts Point since 1998, when the dock loaded the M/V Irongate took on 157,645 tons.

The coal for the Linda Dream arrived in 1,475 freight cars.
