Here are some recent photos from the past few days which I found on the Huber Breaker Preservation Society Facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Huber-Br ... 1827666744). I hope no one minds me reposting them. Some of the older one are already here, it might be good to cross post them here for people who do not go on Facebook.

Supposedly the retail pockets are cut and cables are slung to them ready to pull it over, I'd like to see that. Sad to see it go, but it was going to happen sooner than later. Glad we got to see it and document the last standing northern field breaker.

We had a great day at the breaker today. My volunteer crew came in and we pulled out three pieces that will go to good homes. We retrieved two locomotive style Westinghouse air pumps from the power house. They will be shipped out to Colorado. We also got a piston valve out of the long-gone second Imperial Type 10 air compressor. Apparently its flywheel flew apart, broke through the wall or window, and rendered the engine scrap while the plant was still running. The piston valve was saved and languished on a pallet on the floor for years. It is now on its way to Idaho where it will be used to train technicians repairing similar steam powered air compressors still in use in refineries. It was great to save these pieces of history today.

the last time the breaker was the only thing standing on the site was when they were building it and taking down the Maxwell #20 that was built directly over the shaft.

Here is a video of them knocking down the conveyor belt. Such a shame.

This is copied from the Huber Breaker Preservation Society's FB page:

URGENT UPDATE--PLEASE READ!!!
Paselo may be trying to drop the breaker NEXT WEEK!!
We have just received an email from a friend who went down to the breaker last night and came upon this sight.

"... the workers were standing on the tracks and I heard the whole right backside of the breaker (portion that is roofed but sits lower than the main section of the breaker) hissing, the steel was popping, singing, etc. Sure enough, the building began to collapse and they thought it was going to fall, well it was built so well that it pancaked vertically a floor and stayed upright! They brought in a Caterpillar (suicide mission) to point blank start pushing it. It didn't budge and they stopped when it got dark and left, no caution tape, etc. Insane man. A guy that was there told me they were cutting the beams from WITHIN THE BUILDING and that it was an epic escape for the workers before it shifted."

This means that Paselo is likely going to try to drop the breaker this week! It also means that the breaker's integrity can no longer be trusted--PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE BREAKER AT THIS STAGE! The collapse of the flooring and loose concrete could prove catastrophic!
