Hello and good evening. Kinda new to forms like this. But i have alot of leads to Mining in the 5th district of the Anthracite coal region that can be helpful to alot of people. Places like Hazleton, Crystal Ridge, Crannberry, Jeddo, Japan,Freeland, Stockton, Humboldt industrial park, Oneida, Silver Brook, Mcadoo, etc. Name it and can fined or dig up some history for you as well as opening, Slopes, Shafts, Etc.

Could you answer my questions on breaker operations? I was wondering if some breakers had their own switch locomotives, or did the railroad that served it move the cars around?

Yeah some breakers have or had their own. They would move the cars around. The railroad that served them too would move them around as well.

Would they be little tank engines or did some have tenders? Did they have an on-site engine house, or would they be serviced on a track out of the way, in the open?
