Track in the barn with a new door, about 60 feet from that the switch is in, and the first curve is done. So far about 200 feet of track. Today I put the crossing in and straight track goes quick so I'm estimating that by Friday I'll have another 150 feet in. Once I hit the trees it comes to a grinding halt until I saw them down. It's an overgrown xmas tree farm. 100 feet into that, the next curve goes in, then I run along the river until I run out of rail. Really trying to get that last 600 feet of rail from the people I got most of mine from. That train is still there and we agreed to leave it there incase the buyer of their house wants to run that train. It's 30" mine is 24" so I can't use it. It's also going to be very difficult to remove that train. It's big, heavy, and on a hill with no access that's all trees. Very expensive project to get that down.

Hey John, I got the pics. It's looking real good. What sort of engine do you run?

The one I run now has an old lawn mower converted into a mine locomotive, just a 5hp gas engine and it does just fine. Eventually it will be a box cab, but right now I'm putting 100% of my efforts into laying track. The other in the barn was also a lawn mower, it is a short nose switcher. I don't like it, too boxy looking. Eventually I will make the nose narrow and the cab taller. It needs a new starter switch and possibly some engine work, it doesn't run and when a battery is put on it, it just turns over no matter what position the key is in. I'm estimating it will be two years before they are what I want them to be.

Here is a picture from John R's railroad. He sent me several but this is the only one I could get downsized enough to upload to the forum.

Hey, John. Yeah I don't know if you are still on my Facebook but hope you are doing good! Let me know if you are bored at the airport and I'll come up!
