I am pleased to announce the addition of the Sun Ray Tunnel slide show. This operation is unique in the fact that it is not generally perceived as a mine due to its later success as a source of tasty spring water. However, as this slide show will demonstrate, it is very much in fact the remnants of an historic mining operation with an interesting story to tell.

The Sun-Ray Mine is one of my favorite mines to photograph. Nice photos and documentation Mike!

If anything I hope we have encouraged interest in the historical mining aspect of this operation. For a spring water tunnel, it makes for a rewarding and interesting visit. From a mining perspective, it stands as a great historical example of a small mine in relatively great shape. We welcome anyone's thoughts and/or research into the mine once existed here. Sometimes old maps, deeds, and rare news articles or ledgers reveal tidbits of information that collectively help paint the overall picture.
