Well im mostly into coal mines ..... but does anyone know of any mines in central PA? Closest mines i know of near state college are in clearfield county-also coal

Not really a hard rock topic but here is what we have:

Most of the ones we found were former Bethlehem Steel coal mines and were either on active mine sites or the property was resold and the buildings were used for repair shops etc. Most of the mines in Central Pa were shaft mines keep in mind. There are a few places around Horseshoe Curve & towards Ebensburg. We didn't find anything super exciting but we did not go to all the places that were on our list either.

ok thank you, i was having trouble and knew about greenwood furnace so was just wondering. I found a couple around horseshoe including coke ovens
