Last spring, renowned local author, historian, and archeologist Ed Lenik led us on a fantastic tour to the Redback Mine. This mine is unique in that it has a largely intact ore roaster present. The mine dates back to 1780 and included an inclined shaft approximately 300 feet in depth. Here are some photos of the expedition...
