 Post subject: HELP WITH WORKING A GOLD VEIN

MY BROTHER AND I FOUND A GOLD REEF AND NEED HELP ON HOW TO DIG IT RIGHT.THE REEF IS 1 METRE BELOW ALLUVIAL WASH WE DETECTORED THE RICH VEIN WHICH PRODUCED 60 OUNCES IN 80 KILOS OF QUARTZ .WE HAVE FOLLOWED THE TOP OF REEF ABOUT 5 METRES EAST AND WERE STILL GETTING GOLD ABOUT 7 OUNCES FOR 20 KILOS QUARTZ .FROM WHAT ICAN GATHER ITS STILL RUNNING EAST SHOULD WE GO STRAIGHT DOWN ON THIS BECAUSE GOES DOWN AS WELL AS EAST WEST,HAVE EQUIPMENT READY TO WORK IT JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT IT ,GEOLOGIST SAMPLED ROCKS AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED AND SAYS WE SHOULD START DIGGING .ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKYOU :? :?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your discovery and I hope it proves successful! While I am certainly not a mining engineer, I would suggest providing some detail as to the topography above the vein as it trends east. What is the pitch and dip of the vein in relation to the topography? Have you done any drilling to determine this? Maybe someone with a solid mining/engineering background can chime in. We would be very interested in hearing of your progress so please feel free to share. Thanks.
