I have a jaw crusher belted to a fair-banks morse engine, I figured if I didn't stick my hand in it when it was running I was O.K.
A friend of my dad's was in a construction battilion in europe during WWII,He told me " one day we had a big rock stuck in the crusher, and we were standing on top of the machine wondering what to do next when a german fighter flew by at low altitude, we waved and the pilot waved back,we figured the pilot saw that we had enough trouble without him shooting at us"
