I am going to find some limestone mines this summer and i was wondering what hazards these present, as i have spent all my time around coal thus far. thanks

Let's see:

No Methane.

No Black Damp

No Explosive Dust

Some possibility of traces of Radon.

Geology can be variable, as can top rock. Compared to Bitty, it is usually more solid.

Dangerous rock falls, deep vertical shafts, unseen winzes in the middle of the mine, unstable footing, high walls, high ledges, large drops, vertical workings, deep water, unmaintained bridges, getting lost... I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff, but no type of mine goes without it's risks.
