This is Atlantic Coal's new machine to go to work at their Stockton mine. Replacing the company's old 86' Demag H241 is a new Liebherr R9250 backhoe. The $1.7 mil machine was assembled in April over a 2 1/2 week period, and is now in service working alongside the company's older Demag H185S backhoe mining coal.

The machine is state of the art, featuring Liebherr's Litronic control system for fast easy cycles, a closed swing circuit which allows maximum swing torque while maintaining full oil flow, and an automatic idling system which helps to reduce fuel consumption, reducing the amount of CO2 emissions.

Fully assembled.

Only thing I didn’t like is the sun guards over the windows. I think they would annoy me if I were digging with it.

No, this mine is right outside the town of Stockton 7. It's on the opposite side of the Stockton mountain from where Jeddo Coal is mining.
