I am not much of a computer whiz, I've never had a problem posting pics. It may be a problem left over from the recent spam attack. Greg may be able to help when he logs in again and sees this. Keep trying, cause we love pictures.

Hello,

I just tried attaching an image to the forum and it worked properly for me. Are you sure that these images you are uploading are actually in jpg format? Secondly, what size are the pictures? They may need to be resized if they are taken at too high of a resolution. If you are taking the pictures with a DSLR camera, try resizing the picture down to 900 X 600 resolution. If you are taking the pictures with a point and shoot or like an iPhone, you probably want to go with 800 X 600 since those cameras shoot in a different aspect ratio.

If you are using a Mac, you can easily resize the photos with Preview. On a Windows box, you may need to download software to do this unless Microsoft now includes stuff to do this with the later operating systems. I generally use Photoshop, but that can be overkill sometimes depending on what you are doing.

Greg,

Doesn't phpBB have a preference to resolution also? Somewhere I played with different resolutions (dpi/dots per inch) and it had a greater effect on how pictures were displayed than overall size.

My droid is my primary internet access. This is the only forum I have to resize pics from my phone before posting. It's no big deal to do though.
