Seems like there's lots of interest in industrial locomotives on this site, so I thought I would start a new topic that focuses on them.

That Plymouth is the same model we have with no cab in our collection & we have one coming in with a cab this month. Ours are both 36" ga & that one was 36" but pushed in to 24". Model FL or FLH if it was built with a Hercules engine (6 Ton).

The last picture at the Empire mine should be an General Electric open style battery type (6-8ton). The only thing that is throwing us off are the bearing caps which are not tradition G.E. on the axle journals.

John, thanks for sharing those fantastic images. FYI....Here is some info. on the locomotives:

TEABERRY & SOUTHERN:

Vulcan: 6-Ton; 24 ga. ex Gowanda Glue Plant, Gowanda, NY
Brookville: BMD Model 3-Ton; 24 ga. ex National Powder, Eldred, PA. Originally 36 inch ga., Built 8/65
Plymouth: (South Fork Railway div of Teaberry & Southern) Model FLH 5-Ton; 24 ga.; ex US Army-Badger Ordn. Works, Baraboo, WI; last operated @ Colonial Steel, Monaca, PA; formerly 36 inch ga.

EMPIRE MINE: I think it is defiantly an GE like Pete said.

OLD ONE HUNDRED MINE:

Loco #2: 6-Ton Greensburg "Cruiser" ; blt 1947 ex N.J. Zinc , Colorado
Diesel unit: Goodman 3-Ton ex Campbird Mine
3-1/2 Ton Greenburg "Scout" ex Std Metals, Sunnyside Mine (not pictured)
Last Unit: Goodman/Mancha Type BNX, blt c. 1960 ex Cotter Corp. Schwartzwalder Mine

SELDOM SEEN MINE: Self explanatory. Two Greensburg's are used for tours. One unidentified battery locomotive is stored inside motor barn.

PA Lumber Museum: Looking for data on the Brookville.

My records show that the PA Lumber Museum Brookville Model BMD loco is 15-Ton and originally came from Keystone Tanning & Glue, Wilcox, Pa (later Wilcox Tanning Div.). From 1974 the unit was stored at Kovalchick scrap yard until the PA Lumber Museum picked it up.

I agree that that plymouth is definatly the coolest petro-powered loco... I like the yellow and black greesburg from Seldom scene.... It would be cool to take that GE and make it look like that. The orange one is funny looking with that wheel.

John, whats the story behind the "Pisscutter?" Why's it named that?

Awesome stuff.. :D
