Roden Stone Company #3 can be yours for a quarter million. Yes, like so many 0-4-0 tank engine restorations it has been butchered into an "old west" 2-4-0 tender engine, but hey, it is 1919 Porter and is 42" ga and that means there is a backyard or two to run it in!

I can think of a tour mine or two down the line with some track around the property that this would like nice on, that is as long as it will burn anthracite!

i bet its converted to oil, but maybe not. that would be nice. it would be nice to dump the lousy tender and extra wheel set and put a saddle tank back on it

Very neat, but I guess it would certainly look better original. I guess the problem is that most typical railroading fans have no idea what a saddle tank is and would wonder where the tender is.
