Hi I'm new to the forum...my name is Daimon and I live in Lebanon county, which is the one directly south of Schuylkill. I am very interested in coal mining history and preservation, but not so much iron mining, which I don't know much about. There is an Iron furnace in the town I live in though:

Welcome, Daimon. I hope you have as much fun around here as I do.
:)

I've learned a lot from these guys.

Welcome to the forum! While PA is mostly known for it's Coal Mining, there were quite a few significant Iron Mines in the state. Worked out well being that Iron needed to be smelted and Anthracite being nearby. Although I believe Cornwall didn't use Anthracite..
