I found an interesting video that I am sure you are going to enjoy. This video kind of tells you why you don't want to block a train track. They do take a while to stop...

that was actually impressive in how quick it stopped. it stopped in shorter than the train length! way too late, but it was quick as trains go.......

It took about a minute to stop.. Its a little difficult to count, but I think I counted that around 46 box cars went past the impact point of the semi. Given that the hopper cars are probably 50' cars, that is about 2300'. So it took about a half a mile to stop that train once the engineer turned on the emergency brakes.

If you ever bring your rig to the #9, watch out crossing the tracks... you never know where Mike A might be flying around on a nice dinky 10 ton mine motor... put a nice dent in 'er. :wink:
