Crap, seems I've missed out entirely. It was shown here in Philly in April.

Would have been interesting to see. It is being screened in LA in June. Anyone want to try to get to that one?! :D

Maybe I'll email the film makers and see if they're gonna release it for sale or anything.

Okay, I emailed the filmmakers to see what their plans are.

I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Soooo, Melinka Thompson-Godoy emailed me back. Here's what she had to say:

"Thank you so much for your email and your interest in our documentary. We have been taking the film to festivals over the past year and a half and are currently in negotiations with a company for a possible DVD release. We hope to have everything finalized soon. Please keep checking our website at www.thetownthatwas.com for up-to-date information on the release of the film and where to purchase a copy. Thank you!"

Stay tuned boys and girls!

Thanks Fleur for checking on that! I Really want to see that. I also would like to actually go and check out the town itself sometime.

Okay, this just in...

Hello. Thank you so much for your interest our Centralia documentary The Town That Was. We are happy to announce that we are now selling DVDs. If you would like to purchase a copy, they are $20 (plus $3 for standard shipping and handling). Just paypal me at chris@dogplayerfilms.com and include your address and we'll be happy to send one your way.

Our most recent screenings in Pottsville were a huge success and we are planning more in the PA area in the near future. We thank you so much for your continued support.

Kindest regards,
Chris
