Looks like the war for finding qualified and experienced coal miners is on. Massey just increased thier section electrician pay to 36 an hour. Another place in WV on the Ohio is paying 37. I was offered a job the other day making 10,000 a month and free gas. I guess I'll go back to the first one who throws a hooker through my window.

Find me heavy pitch bituminous without any gas and I'll consider it........... as long as it's within 1 hour of Ashley PA.......... and no roof bolts either.

I was just down to Tennessee for an interview with the East Tennessee Zinc Company. The offered me a whole 40,000 per year for a Jumbo position. I thanked them for the tour and laughed my way back to Canada were the beginner in our mining industry is clearing over 90,000.
