Hi,

Has anyone been by the New York Ontario & Western milk car in Childs/Mayfield lately? This is the little shack used as the post office just south of Baumann's office.

A firend sent some pics a month ago of the "new:siding being ripped off, exposing the railroad car underneath.

Wondering what it looks like now.

Rob

Yes, it is on the west side of the road (same side as Baumann's office, just south of it). It is set back a little and looks kinda like a trailer. It is on a foundation, not wheels.

It is not only the last O&W milk car in around, it is one of only 2 known wooden milk cars in all of North America.

I was just up there yesterday walking around the old yard area across the road from Baumanns, they put some new white siding up on the old milk car.
