 Post subject: Salt Mining on Dirt Jobs tonight

Just thought i would put it up here. Dirty Jobs will be at a salt mine tonight. Unkown where but should be interesting.

Wow! That was pretty wild... yeah, i like the car :lol: now why cant all cars run on fuel like that :? i bet the guys working in there get "white lung"

Actually those cars remind me of 2 movies, Madmax, and also Water world.
I missed part of the show how did they actually remove the salt from the mine. When they first went down i didn't see any tracks for cars or a loco and i didn't see and conveyor belts which i am sure there must have been.

I was a little disappointed with the content, but there was a lot of good footage in the mine though. They showed a lot of the equipment required to run the mine. That was a much smaller operation for a salt mine, but it was very interesting though.

Also, if you saw in the beginning, there were a few mine cars off to the side. I'd have to check again, but they looked like wooden cars. I'm sure the mine was originally mine car and train operated, but they moved on to more movable and mobile machinery. The cars were a lot Mad Max style, I'll agree with that!
