Does anyone out there have a Koehler Wheat Lamp light with a key type charger head and base that they are willing to sell or make a trade? I have a MSA light and base that I will trade. Let's make a deal. :D
Thanks,
Scott K

Chris,
What I really need is a new wire. I got a good wheat lamp on e-bay but the cord is very short. The light won't reach my hat when the battery is on my belt. I thought it would be easier to get the lamp, cord and base all at once.
Thanks,
Scott K

P.S, Any new tours or projects coming up? I'm always looking for something to "volunteer" for, especially if its for coal mines.

I'm thinking you should be able to buy a new cord. Try United Central Supply. Cost shouldn't be too bad.

Projects, Did someone say projects?

How short is it? I never put my cord behind my back. I always put the chord facing toward the front and run it up the front of my shoulder. It took some getting used to but, you will appreciate it in low coal.

Coalfire,
I tried it the way you described and it is still too short.
Thanks,
Scott K

well i wouldnt say he's exceptionally fat, but...........

sorry i couldnt resist!

i had one with a cord that was too short too. i believe its was probably shortened at the battery once or twice as the terminals will corrode to nothing if not properly monitored and maintained.

Thanks Chris for that appropriate comment. :o I wouldn't call myself fat just alittle overweight for my height. I'm working on that problem. :) I think the cord that came with my wheat lamp was replaced because it is not as thick as my other wheat lamp. I believe that this battery was used more for coon hunting then doing things underground. If I were to put he battery on my belt it just about reaches the slot in my comfo cap. The problem is that I can't move my head with it the way it is.
