 Post subject: NYC Train and Tunnel Stuff

Finally got around to posting my shots from Sunday's visit to NY with Industrial Rail Ray. Thanks for the tour! The full album is at:

Here are the highlights. They include the "Arnine" (R-9) 1930s subway train plus the supply yards and shafts for a couple of tunnel boring projects that use 3 foot gauge rail haulage. We also saw an Amtrak fan car. Its a European built flat car with a giant fan on it, used to ventilate the tunnels under the rivers around Manhattan.
