At the Oppenheimer mines here in Bedford ,PA , there was a least one inclined plane to bring the ore down to a mine cart track that then took it to a narrow gauge railroad. Does anyone know of images of such an inclined plane. There is VERY little of the machinery left (so far, maybe 50 pounds) but it is evident where the cables (ropes?) dug out the ground. The date for this was around 1890.
