Im looking to make a website about railroad tunnels with pictures and all that good stuff, anybody interested in going around pa for now looking for some of these and also taking pictures of them, i ask to please let me know. Mikey P im nodding towards you ha!

You have to visit the L.V. tunnel just South of Ashley. It was in use for just 5 years, 1903 to 1908.

chris i live less then ten miles from it and only been too it once haha. couple cave ins and the whole north portal has caved in because of interstate 81 being built. no tracks if i recall.

anyone ever been in the original Cascade Tunnel? it is still there, but has caved in on one end, I believe

never been there but its in bad shape. big collapse inside, standing water, and i dont think your allowed near one side

It is sad that such a historic site is falling into disrepair. I know that I would pa to get in and walk through it. It would make an awesome museum or walking trail (the approaches and the tunnel itself.)

its in massacusets 4.75 miles long its one of the more well known RR tunnels. alot of deaths to build it
