Enclosed below is an announcement from the National Museum of Industrial History regarding upcoming tours of the museum’s collections. This is not in the steel mill, but in a climate controlled warehouse just outside of Bethlehem. On display is the 1851 Pioneer steam locomotive, various stationary gas and steam engines, belt driven machine tools, textile equipment, steel mill models, and more. The local newspaper will be on site this Sunday, so anyone who can attend at that time is encouraged to do so.

"The National Museum of Industrial History will open its Preview and Staging Facility on Sundays, from noon to 4 p.m., starting September 16th. On display for the general public will be artifacts from the Smithsonian Institution, Franklin Institute, and other sources. Admission is free.
Location: 754 Roble Road in the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park."

We had a chance to have a sneak peak of the exhibits & strongly encourage for anyone that is interested in early American industrial equipment to attend. Most pieces on display are one of a kind pieces of machinery preserved for all of us to enjoy.

We had a couple dozen people, which is not bad considering we only gave a few days notice. The newspaper article will probably draw a lot of people this weekend.

Attendance was better this week. We even had a visitor from Nova Scotia!
